What We Are Looking For

We're looking for an Account Executive on the East Coast to join our growing sales team. This is a strategic, field-driven role with AWS as your primary cloud focus. You'll own relationships with AWS field and partner teams in your territory, drive net-new business, and expand existing accounts across cloud migration, modernization, data, and AI workloads. You'll work closely with Sela's technical team to scope and sell meaningful professional services engagements, not just licenses or resale. You're someone who genuinely loves technology, builds credibility with engineers and executives alike, and thrives at the intersection of sales and solutions.

Responsibilities

• Own the full sales cycle for cloud professional services engagements (migration, application modernization, DevOps, data, and AI/ML workloads) from prospecting through close
\n
• Build and maintain deep relationships with AWS field sales teams—Account Executives, Solutions Architects, and Partner Development Managers across the Startup, SMB, and Enterprise segments—acting as a trusted co-sell partner
\n
• Drive co-sell motion through ACE, including sourcing and sharing pipeline, and position AWS funding programs (MAP, POC/POA credits, Marketplace private offers) to accelerate deals
\n
• Identify and develop new business opportunities with startup and mid-market clients across cloud migration, modernization, and managed services
\n
• Collaborate with Sela's architects and engineers to scope solutions, develop proposals, and support technical discovery
\n
• Manage and grow a portfolio of existing accounts, identifying expansion opportunities across new service lines
\n
• Maintain accurate pipeline and forecasting in CRM tools
\n
• Represent Sela at AWS and cloud industry events, including AWS Summits and re:Invent
\n
• Bring market and customer insights back to the team to help shape offerings and go-to-market strategy, particularly around AI and cloud-native workloads
\n

Requirements

\n
• 5+ years of B2B technology sales experience, with at least 2 years selling cloud professional services or infrastructure solutions
\n
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quota in a consultative, solution-selling environment
\n
• Primary experience and fluency with AWS: you understand the platform, the ecosystem, and how to navigate the partner and field motion
\n
• Strong ability to sell services engagements, not just products: you're comfortable scoping migrations, modernization projects, and technical solutions with customers and architects
\n
• Genuine passion for technology; able to build credibility with vendor field teams, customer technical leaders, and our own engineering team
\n
• Strong executive-level communication and presentation skills
\n
• Based on the East Coast, with availability to travel for customer meetings, AWS office visits, and industry events
\n

Preferred Qualifications

\n
• Based in the greater New York City area, or able to work regularly from our NYC office
\n
• Experience selling data, AI/ML, DevOps, or cloud-native modernization projects
\n
• Existing relationships within the AWS field or partner organization on the East Coast
\n
• Familiarity with APN, ACE co-sell, AWS Marketplace, and AWS funding programs
\n
• Exposure to Azure or GCP ecosystems as a secondary platform
\n
• Background in professional services, systems integration, or consulting sales
\n
• AWS certifications (Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect) or Partner accreditations
\n

This is a remote, full-time position open to candidates located on the East Coast; candidates in the greater New York City area have access to our NYC office. Expected base salary range is $140,000–$200,000, commensurate with experience. This role includes a performance-based commission plan, with expected OTE of $250,000–$300,000 and additional upside for overachievement.
