We are seeking a 3rd Shift Extruder Operator to operate single- and twin-screw extrusion and compounding lines processing engineering resins and recycled compounds. This role is ideal for a self-starter with a “can-do” attitude who is excited to join a fast-paced, quickly growing small business. The operator works with an independent shift team and reports to the Production Manager. Tow motor experience is required, and mechanically inclined applicants are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Operate single- and twin-screw extruders and compounding lines.
• Process engineering resins and recycled compounds.
• Monitor production processes and make equipment adjustments as needed.
• Operate pelletizers, strand cutters, blenders, feeders, packaging equipment, and tow motors.
• Perform quality inspections and support consistent product quality.
• Handle materials safely and efficiently.
• Complete batch records and production counts each shift.
• Clean equipment and comply with safety procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Experience operating a compounding line running plastic resin.
• Tow motor experience.
• Self-starting, “can-do” attitude.

Preferred Qualifications

• Three or more years of experience in plastic extrusion operations.
• Experience with single-screw and twin-screw extrusion.
• Plastic resin compounding and process control experience.
• Quality inspection and material handling experience.
• Mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of safety procedures.
• Self-management and problem-solving skills.
• Mechanical aptitude.
